Sucro and Santander have joined forces to supply the Caribbean market with refined sugar. By pooling together their expertise, experience, and entrepreneurial spirit, Caribbean Sugar Refinery is poised to revitalize the industry from within.
Together, we are building a new refinery at Wales Estate that will significantly reduce Guyana’s and CARICOM’s reliance on imported refined sugar. By processing regional raws in-country and leveraging integrated logistics from Guyana into the wider Caribbean, DSR will shorten lead times, lower logistics risk and keep more value anchored in Guyanese communities.
